Microblading Pre-Procedure Care
PRE-PROCEDURE CARE
How successful the procedure is will depend on:
Skin quality
Post-treatment care
Exposure to various external influences
None of these factors are under the Artist’s control, thus providing any guarantee for the treatment is not possible.
Before the treatment always consult with your artist if you:
Have problematic skin
Have serious health issues
Take certain medications
Already have an old PMU on your eyebrows
Before the treatment, get familiar with the post-treatment care procedure.
Prior to each treatment the skin should not be burnt, nor in recovery or in a regenerative phase.• If you have dry skin, properly moisturize and prep your skin a few days before the treatment. Avoid 48 hours prior:
• All alcoholic beverages or beverages containing caffeine, as alcohol & caffeine can thin the blood and cause excessive bleeding which will not allow the pigment to be absorbed properly. (Yes, there is caffeine in decaf coffee and tea!)
• Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, or Advil/Ibuprofen. (Unless directed by a Doctor) Avoiding aspirin or ibuprofen for pain relief (as these types of medications are blood thinners).
Avoid 7 days prior:
• Stop taking fish oil or any other natural blood thinners, such as vitamin E.• No brow waxing, tinting, or threading.
Also avoid:
• 2 weeks prior to the procedure avoid tanning beds and sun tanning.• At least 6 weeks prior discontinue Retin-A (or other forms), chemical and laser peels, microdermabrasions, Alpha Hydroxy Acids/Beta Hydroxy Acids (AHA/BHA’s), and any chemical exfoliant or “brightening” skincare.
The following treatments are not recommended 30 days before the treatment:
Botox and fillers
Fruit or lactic acids
Laser treatments
Chemical peels
Exposure to strong sunlight.
